2019 Civil Energy Conference

The administration of President Tsai Ing-wen announced revised energy policies a day before Chinese New Year. It not only failed to solve the problem of power shortage in Taiwan but also ignored the “1-percent annual reduction of coal-generated power” and “go green with nuclear energy” results of two referendum cases. The Tsai administration has only disappointed the people of Taiwan.

In light of the disability and disregard of public opinion by the Tsai administration, the Ma Ying-jeou Foundation and Fair Winds Foundation decided to jointly organize this “2019 Civil Energy Conference,” inviting scholars and experts in related fields, business people, and the general public to discuss the current status of energy in Taiwan and formulate an ideal energy policy for the people.
